Yes. To join Career Jumpstart you will need to submit a portfolio with a complete case study and complete a design challenge. Why? You'll be working in an agency setting on real-client projects so we need to ensure you have the skills and ability to support your team and deliver quality work.

You'll have access to unlimited mentorship every step of the way. While you're working on real-client projects you'll have a Senior Designer mentoring you while you prepare client deliverables. You'll also have mentors dedicated to helping you build out your portfolio and resume.

During the job search phase our mentors will help you prepare for interviews through mock interviews, portfolio walkthroughs, and design challenge/whiteboard prep.

Given the nature of the program we do not offer the ability to freeze or pause since we provide our clients with schedules that we need to deliver by.

However, you are able to be granted an extension during your job search if needed. These are determined on a case-by-case basis.

We no longer offer a job guarantee for Career Jumpstart. We tested it for a year and found that students were more focused on meeting the requirements of a job guarantee instead of putting their efforts towards finding a job.  

While we removed the job guarantee - we also lowered the price of the program and extended the length to give you more time to gain experience in working with real clients and finish building your portfolio.

We suggest students plan to spend 10-15 hours/week dedicated to Career Jumpstart. This should give you enough time to complete your assignments during Phase 1 and 2 per our timeline and apply to enough jobs/prep during Phase 3.

Some students opt to accelerate their program timeline by doubling up on assignments and getting through Phase 1 and 2 quicker. That is 100% ok with us!
