Getting started in tech can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a new to the field, I break down some of the easiest tech careers to get into.

With technology taking part in the majority of our society, it’s not surprising that more and more people are switching to technology based jobs, and you might be wondering which tech career might be the easiest to get into. Here is a breakdown of the easiest tech careers to get into.

What are some easy tech careers to break into?

Are you interested in breaking into the tech field, but not sure where to start? Some of the easiest tech careers to get into are: data design, web design, data analysis, cyber security, UX design, and information security.

What qualifications are needed for an entry-level tech job?

Soft skills such as problem solving, communication, adaptability, and empathy. These specific soft skills are paramount for a career in tech because roles such as UX/UI design are dependent on knowing how humans behave, so designers have to be able to put themselves in the user's shoes.

Problem Solving: Problem solving skills are crucial for designers because they need to constantly be thinking about what issues may arise in design concepts, and must have the ability to come up with solutions for them.

Communication: With more and more people working remotely it is important for tech designers to have great communications skills. Being able to communicate designs, and the process of the design to others in your team is an important aspect, so others on the team are clear and don’t need further explanation.

Adaptability: Technology is constantly evolving so it is important to be able to adapt to new trends, tools, and products. If designers aren’t able to be adaptable, then they might miss opportunities to continue to grow and learn as a designer.

Empathy: Empathy allows designers to be observant, which in turn allows designers to have the ability to take notice of recurring problems, and find solutions for them. Empathy also allows designers to be understanding of the frustrations and concerns that users have.

What are some entry-level tech jobs that pay well?

According to Glassdoor, the average salary for UX/UI designers could range from $87k to $254k. This will vary depending on many factors such as years of experience, company, and what roles you decide to get into.

How Can I Find the Right Career Path for me?

Finding a career tech job that’s correct for you might mean doing a bit of research, getting a certificate, or even enrolling in a bootcamp. Whichever path you decide is best for you will all depend on factors such as cost, length of time, and which tech field you’d like to get into.

While  the concept of an "easy" tech career may seem appealing, it's important to note that any career in the tech industry will require hard work, dedication, and ongoing learning. However, there are a variety of entry-level positions available that can provide a strong foundation for a successful career in tech, including roles in technical support, quality assurance, and data entry. Additionally, pursuing a certification or attending a design bootcamp can help individuals gain the skills and knowledge needed to break into the industry. Ultimately, the key to success in any tech career is a willingness to learn, adapt, and stay current with the latest advancements in the field.
